Walter is the Founder and former Chief Executive Officer of Teach For Austria. He holds a master’s and doctoral degree from Vienna University of Business and Economics, as well as an MBA from INSEAD in Fontainebleau, France. Walter began his career in banking and consulting in Austria and Switzerland. In his mid-forties, he transitioned to the educational sector, serving as a professor and head of the business faculty at Salzburg University of Applied Sciences.

Walter brings a wealth of experience from both the business and educational fields, contributing his expertise to advancing educational equity across Europe.
