Catalysts of Change: An Enseña Perú Alumna is Helping Women and Girls Help Themselves
Each year on March 8, International Women’s Day serves as a reminder to celebrate the women and girls across the Teach For All network who are working to effect change in classrooms and communities around the world.
In the video above, Enseña Perú alumna Dunia Padilla shares her journey to founding Creadoras, a social enterprise that supports women to become leaders and changemakers in their communities. Creadoras delivers two key programs: “MAKERS,” a personal development initiative that helps girls gain confidence and identify their strengths and passions, and “VISIONARIES,” a leadership development program to nurture female innovators and encourage collaboration among women and girls. “I always say our challenge is ambitious because it’s not only about transforming the life of one woman, but it’s about enabling her to unlock the collective leadership of others,” Dunia explains. “Our challenge is to awaken this collective leadership. We believe that when women are able to lead, they become catalysts of change.”
