The World Bank Group, represented by the Senior Director of the Education Global Practice Dr. Jaime Saavedra and his team, received Teach For All's annual Tiger Award at the network's 2017 Global Conference in Bogotá, Colombia.  The award recognizes The World Bank Group's support of Teach For All’s growth and progress from 2011 to 2016, and of the work of network partners in Latin America and South Asia to reach more than 480,000 children.

Dr. Saavedra also led a session for conference attendees in which he presented the main findings from the World Development Report 2018, which for the first time focuses exclusively on education. The report reflects the global network's shared conviction that to address the global learning crisis we must develop a coalition of leaders at all levels of the education system who are committed to improving learning outcomes for all children.
