Josephine Saidu
Teach For Sierra Leone is driven by the dynamic leadership of Josephine Saidu. She took inspiration for this venture from growing up in a teacher household during her formative years, and experiencing first-hand the impact of poverty on restricting access to quality education. Prior to this role, she worked as a broadcast journalist covering stories on issues affecting disadvantaged and underprivileged communities and as a communications specialist. In both these roles she witnessed the adverse inequalities children face in rural areas which led to her service as an ambassador and advocate for educational justice and teaching excellence.
Josephine holds an MBA from Cardiff University-UK, a BA (Hons.) in Broadcast Media and Journalism, a Graduate Diploma in Marketing Management from the Chartered Institute of Marketers, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care.
