Zainab Omar Aljomaily
My name is Zainab Aljomaily and I am a 16-year-old student living in Qatar. Since I was a child, I have had a strong passion for learning. All I ever wanted was to gain as many skills and as much knowledge as possible. Growing up in a supportive environment, starting from my small family at home and extending to the educational environment in Qatar, helped shape my personality and allowed me to put my energy into different fields such as art, science, and public speaking.
As an artist since childhood, I have always had the ability to notice everything around me. Whenever I look at the world, the word that comes to my mind is change. I want a better future for every student around the world, for every child, and for every human being.
I am the co founder of RUKN, a school club that focuses on developing life skills and building confidence in students. I started RUKN almost three years ago with my friend after participating in the Student Voice Accelerator. Today, RUKN has two main branches in two schools in Doha, and we are working on opening more branches across Qatar. Our work is not limited to schools, we also created an events team to reach as many students and young people as possible.
As a member of the Student Leader Advisory Council, this opportunity is meaningful not only to me but to every young person. I believe that every student deserves a better future, one that is shaped by them and by having their voices heard. I will do my best to help shape that future with students around the world.
