
Andrea Pastorelli
Andrea is the CEO of Teach For Italy, a position he has held since November 2018. With 15 years of experience in human rights, public health, poverty, and inequality, Andrea’s career has been marked by a dedication to addressing pressing global issues.
He began his journey at the William J. Clinton Foundation, where he played a key role in developing its first HIV and health programs in Africa. Andrea then moved to the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in New York, where he designed and managed the Red Ribbon Award, an international initiative that supports grassroots organizations working on HIV and human rights globally. Andrea then moved to Beijing, China, where as the head of UNDP's Poverty, Equity and Governance team he designed new initiatives on access to justice, gender equality, and LGBTQ rights. Most recently, Andrea worked with the International Organization for Migration (IOM) in Rome, where he managed regional programs focused on the integration of migrants in Europe and supported the Italian Ministry of Interior in developing Italy's first National Integration Plan for Refugees.
