Student
Teach For Kenya

I am a Grade 10 student at Makueni Girls High School in Kenya. I was born and raised in Machakos County, where my early experiences shaped my passion for education, leadership, and student empowerment.

While studying at Kivandini Comprehensive School in Machakos, I actively participated in a student empowerment programme that supported learners from humble and disadvantaged backgrounds.
Through this initiative, I encouraged my peers to stay in school, remain hopeful despite challenges, and resist dropping out due to poverty or difficult home circumstances. My involvement allowed me to see firsthand the power of peer support and positive encouragement in transforming students’ confidence and commitment to learning.

I strongly believe that every learner deserves equal access to education and emotional support, regardless of their background. I am passionate about amplifying student voices and creating safe spaces where young people feel seen, supported, and motivated to succeed.

As a member of the 2026 Teach For All Student Leader Advisory Council, I am excited to learn from other student leaders across the world, share perspectives from my community, and contribute to shaping education systems that are more inclusive, compassionate, and student-centered.
