We're excited to welcome two new members, Stanley Tan and Paco Ybarra, to our Global Board of Directors.

Stanley Tan is the Principal of the Singapore-based family office Rumah Group and the Director of its philanthropic arm, Rumah Foundation. A firm believer in building a strong civil society, promoting strategic philanthropy, taking a system approach, and supporting enabling platforms, he co-founded =DREAMS Asia, the Asia Community Foundation, and the Asia Philanthropy Circle. Stanley is a proud and devoted father of two daughters, a businessman, and a committed humanitarian.

“The best curriculum, pedagogy, and all the teaching tools do not by themselves make good education. But a devoted teacher who believes in each child and wants to impart the right education with the right values that bring out the best version of the child, can provide a good education no matter how few resources he or she has,” Stanley said. “I am privileged to be invited to serve on the board of Teach For All as I consider it a true privilege to serve the passionate teachers and alumni I meet across the Teach For All network.”

Paco Ybarra recently retired from Citigroup, where he spent 36 years, most recently as Chief Executive Officer of Citi’s Institutional Clients Group, which includes its Banking, Markets, and Services businesses. Previously, he was Global Head of Markets and Securities Services. Throughout his career, Paco has held positions in Spain, Mexico, Singapore, New York, and London. He is a member of the Board of Directors of EMPower in the UK, a non-profit organization that supports at-risk youth in emerging markets, and he sits on the Alumni Board of IESE, and the Board of The Man Group.

“I first got to know the Teach For All network through my work at Citi, where I was one of the promoters of their “E for Education” initiative, which has already made more than $40m in grants to education nonprofits around the world, such as Teach For All,” Paco shared. “I’m looking forward to now being able to engage even more deeply with the network.”

“Both Stanley and Paco have been incredible supporters of our work already,” Teach For All’s Co-founder & CEO Wendy Kopp remarked, “and I’m very excited that both have agreed to serve on our Global Board of Directors. I look forward to our network benefiting even more from their wisdom and support in the years to come.”

We're excited to learn from the insights and experiences of our new Board members, and we look forward to the contributions they'll make to the progress of our network.
