Gantushig Gankhuyag
Gantushig Gankhuyag, or simply Tushig, is a Co-founder and CEO of Teach for Mongolia. He is an avid supporter of volunteerism, education, and youth development. He believes that education is the “silver bullet” to tackle many issues in today’s society.
Before Teach for Mongolia, he spent over a decade in the public and private sectors of Mongolia, where he was primarily responsible for development finance and policy formulation activities. Notably, he worked with the World Bank, Asian Development Bank, and UNDP on projects related to rural development, sustainable finance, and corporate governance. Most recently, he worked as a strategy consultant for the Prime Minister’s Office and helped to formulate the “New Recovery Policy,” which was intended to ensure macroeconomic stability through improvements in the business environment while delivering key infrastructure projects after the COVID-19 pandemic.
Tushig received his Master of Public Administration (MPA) from Cornell University as a Fulbright Scholar and his B.S. in Finance from Indiana University South Bend.
