Trayan has been with Teach For Bulgaria since the organization's founding in 2010. He was previously the Program Director, overseeing participant admissions and leadership development, alumni engagement, and impact evaluation. Prior to joining Teach For Bulgaria, he worked as a management consultant.
 
Trayan was born and raised in Silistra, Bulgaria and attended the American College of Sofia (2001). He holds a BA in Social Studies from Harvard University (2006) and an MPhil in Sociology from the University of Cambridge (2010). His wife Olga is an educator and a Teach For Bulgaria alumna. They have two young sons.
