(As teachers) we believe that we are always right and that we never make mistakes...so working on changing that type of mentality, and realizing I don´t have the last word and that students are the ones who must raise their voices in the classroom, is very powerful.
By fostering the empowerment of his students and encouraging them to be collaborators in their learning journey, Enseña por Colombia alumnus Mauricio Bayona is demonstrating that the classroom is a place where everyone can be both learners and leaders, and most importantly, be themselves.
