A few years into working in the energy sector as an engineer, Mohammed Al Janahi realized he had a passion for teaching, so he joined Teach For Qatar as soon as the opportunity arose. As a fellow, he noticed that his students were intimidated by mathematics and found the subject difficult to engage with. Determined to motivate his students, Mohammed began composing poems and producing videos designed to get them excited about mathematics. The strategy worked—not only did the videos engage his own students, they became popular throughout Qatar and beyond, with over 14 million views on his Youtube channel. Now the Vice Principal of Tariq Bin Ziad School at Qatar Foundation, Mohammed continues to believe that educators play an important role to “nurture values and unlock opportunities for students."

بعد سنوات قليلة من العمل كمهندس في قطاع الطاقة، أدرك محمد الجناحي أن لديه شغفًا بالتدريس، فانضم إلى منظمة علِّم لأجل قطر فور توقر الفرصة. كمنتسب، لاحظ تخوف طلابه من مادة الرياضيات واستصعابهم لها. وحرصًا منه على تحفيز طلابه، بدأ محمد في تأليف القصائد وإنتاج مقاطع فيديو مصممة لإثارة حماسهم نحو الرياضيات. وقد نجحت الاستراتيجية، فلم يقتصر الأمر على جذب مقاطع الفيديو لطلابه فحسب، بل أصبحت شائعة في أنحاء قطر وخارجها، مع أكثر من 14 مليون مشاهدة على قناته في اليوتيوب. يشغل محمد حالياً منصب المدير المساعد لمدرسة طارق بن زياد بمؤسسة قطر، ولا يزال يؤمن أن للمعلمين الدور الأهم في "غرس القيم وإتاحة الفرص للطلاب".
