Empieza por Educar alumnus Egoitz Etxeandia believes that education doesn't just happen within the walls of a classroom, and that connecting learning to real world experiences—and seeing that they can have an impact on their communities—is important for both students and teachers. Egoitz and his students developed a variety of projects that bring concepts including environmental sustainability, STEAM, and entrepreneurship to life—including a circular economy initiative in which students grew mushrooms from discarded coffee grounds, and then sold them to raise funds for their school.
